Rén is a portable, adaptable, personalizable multifunctional OLED screen unit that provides intuitive and flexible usage. It can harmoniously be integrated into users’ life and gain meaning with their personalities and habits. It is almost a lantern that users can easily carry with them and use as advanced ambient light, and screen. It provides a seamless user experience with its integrated sound system and simple remote control. Besides watching a movie when OLED screen is wide open, when it is rolled it can also be used as a bedside lamp at night, an aquarium, a lava lamp, a screen for recipe tracking in the kitchen. It can be flexible in use as much as the user needs. Its simple design approach gives the user to express her/himself through the Rén.
Users can control the height and screen roll via smartphone and remote control. The smart remote control has a very simple and intuitive interface with four touch buttons; a connection button for the user to easily peer smartphone, a height control button, and volume control buttons. In the middle of the remote, there is also a multi-functional touch button that controls the rolling screen and a touchpad that provides smooth control over screen functions.
